About Me

Cassie Cipolla (formerly Machamer) is a Mezzo-Soprano originally from Delaplane, VA. She received her Bachelor of Music from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 as a student of Ms. Donnell, and her Master of Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2017, as a student of Dr. Bracey. 

 

During her time at VCU she had the opportunity to sing Dorabella (Scene: Cosi fan Tutte), Lucretia (Scene: The Rape of Lucretia), Second Chambermaid (Amelia goes to the Ball), and the Second Lady in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. 

 

At UNCG she enjoyed such roles as Mother Jeanne, Dialogues of the Carmelites, Dater #17, Michael Chang's Speed Dating Tonight!  and the Secretary in Gian Carlo Menotti's The Consul with UNCG opera. 

 

Currently residing in Richmond, VA she sings with St. Stephen's Episcopal Church as a Staff Singer and teaches voice at the University of Richmond.  She also teaches voice at Brightpoint Community College as well as being the music director for the theater's musicals.  

 

When she is not singing or teaching, Cassie is usually at home spending time with her husband, Chris, and their adorable dog, Frasier.
